Hi, I’m Jen and I am a 40-something single mom. I quit my very steady government job to live my dreams and enjoy my kids while they still enjoy me. Yep, it’s a risk.
SunflowerMom is who I’d like to be, honestly, I am not all flowers and rainbows. I tend to be a little pessimistic so I need a lot of grace and joy.
It’s my mission at SunflowerMom to help single moms live intentionally to connect with their children.
The single parent journey can be lonely. Add a strong-willed child on top of that and I totally get you!
I don’t have the answers! But who does? We are all trying to do our best every day.
It’s on my heart to consolidate and share what I’ve spent years searching for:
Intentional time: activities to bring you and your children closer together. There are so many ideas how there for the nuclear family, but reshaping them for the single parent family can be different.
Single Mom Life: navigating the ups and downs when you are by yourself and when you have the kids.
Positivity: staying positive doesn’t come naturally to many of us.
Simplicity: from natural living when possible to simple food ideas, simplifying your life in these areas allows you to focus on the bigger issues.
Challenging kids: or whatever the PC phrase is for it nowadays. Adding a difficult child on top of single-parenthood can be overwhelming.
I would love to hear from you! I read each email and respond personally.
