Memorizing Ephesians 4:32 with your Child
How did your kids do memorizing our first Bible verse for the letter “A”? Hopefully, it went well – 25 more to go! I recommend taking a video of them once they have it fully memorized. When they are young, they especially enjoy watching themselves and usually want you to send the video to Grandma. We will have a series on this until we have gone through the whole alphabet, one letter per week. The whole index of verses that will be updated as we go can be found here.
We usually practice the new verse multiple times each night – they are quick verses so it shouldn’t take long. Then to make sure we aren’t forgetting the ones we already learned, we review those at least two times a week.
Teaching Ephesians 4:32 to your Child
On to our “B” verse. Ephesians 4:32 states “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as Christ forgave you.” This verse allows lots of opportunities to teach your child compassion towards others. Perhaps spend some time this week performing acts of kindness towards others. Download 80 kindness ideas for parents and children to do together from the resource library. Work this into your scripture memorization this week.

The “song” this week is more of a cadence but with hand motions. Kids generally like doing hand motions so this should still excite them. Basically, all that matters is that it gets your kids excited to memorize scripture and you will learn some along the way as well! If they come up with their own tune along the way, all the better!
